Farm Trail Open House

We will be part of the Buy Local Farm Trail this Sunday, August 19th. We have some brochures for the event in our distribution shed, or you can visit www.ccetompkins.org/localfood for more information about the event. The Trail is a great way to get to tour some local farms. If you know of anyone interested in learning more about Sweet Land, Sunday would be a good time for them to get a tour.
As for the farm itself, we are beginning the harvest season! The food is rolling in (with assistance). We planted our last seeding this Thursday, and then it rained gently all that night.

bearcantaloupes? what a difference being a little south makes. The Amish here seem to grow melons OK, but I have had no luck yet! We just had rain tonight; the first in about 8 days, and the most substantial in 2 weeks.
