Dry week

Hello out there!

Just a quick email this week; it's still very dry at the farm and there's lots of work to do. We are so thankful that all of you are sharing the weight of the drought with us.

Veggies:
carrots(!) - The first couple of weeks of carrots we distribute them with their tops because we think its fun for people to get to see them like that. If you don't want the tops you can put them in the compost bucket that's tucked under the carrots.
beets greens/beets - We had these roughly chopped and cooked with bacon at a potluck. Delicious.
summer squash
cucumbers
rosemary
head lettuce - a seriously good year for lettuce. A little unexplainable.
escarole
endive
basil
green onions
kale - still on the bag side because of how dry and hot it is.
chard  - ditto
tomato

u-pick:
unlimited: all flowers, basil (PICK IT), dill and cilantro
limited: raspberries - 2 1/2 quart season limit
green beans - 2 quart season limit

Thanks, and see you at the farm,
Evangeline
