Winter CSA distribution this Wednesday the 2nd

Hello all,
Yes! It's that time again, CSA distribution is this week. Come on out this Wednesday 2-6pm for some winter food. We'll have - carrots, potatoes, beets, kohlrabi, rutabagas, daikon, radishes, turnips, celeriac, parsnips, garlic, onions, winter squash, spinach, komatsuna, kale, Napa cabbage, and red and green cabbage. I hit on a new one for us the other day - tuna salad made with finely chopped daikon and hakurei turnips. What a nice sneaky way to get my kids to eat big ole pile of diakon! They loved it. They (my kids) have also been eating sliced raw carrots and kohlrabi by the plate full, aided down with plenty of peanut butter. I try to have a plate of carrots and kohlrabi generally available - if its around they tend to eat it. Last night we you-tubed sausage and gravy and then made Autumn's Harvest breakfast sausage and gravy over biscuits with a side of buttery "steam-fried" kale, and, you guessed it, raw carrots. Mmmm mmmmm. Pretty good after an afternoon of sledding in that delicious sunshine.

There is a chance of some snow on Wednesday, so, if you would like us to box a share for you that you can pick up Thursday- Saturday 9-5, please let us know by Tuesday morning. Wednesday distribution will proceed as scheduled even if it is snowing.

There are 2 more distributions after this Wednesday - 2/16 and 3/2. Please remember, a normal winter share pays for 6 distributions, and we distribute 7 times, so there is a 1 "missed" distribution built right in. You may, of course, pay for all 7 distributions and come to all 7 distributions if you wish.
